This notice explains how M&T Associates LTD ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit mt-associates.com, contact us, or work with us as a candidate or client.

Who we are

M&T Associates LTD is a company registered in England & Wales, company number 15253736, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us about privacy at hello@mt-associates.com.

What we collect

Enquiry details: your name, email, phone number, company and message when you use our contact form or email us.
Candidate information: your resume, work history, qualifications, location, right to work, salary expectations and interview feedback, provided by you or collected from professional networking sites and referees.
Client information: names and business contact details of people at the companies we recruit for, and details of the roles they are hiring for.
Technical data: our hosting provider records basic server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use it and our legal basis

To respond to enquiries and provide recruitment services. Our basis is our legitimate interest in running our business, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
To match candidates with permanent roles and introduce them to clients. We will always ask before sending your resume to a client.
To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

We share candidate details with prospective employers only with your agreement. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf, including our website host (Netlify, Inc.) and email provider (Microsoft). Some of these providers, and many of our clients, are in the United States or elsewhere outside the UK. Where we transfer data outside the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last contact. We keep candidate records for up to 2 years after our last meaningful contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. We keep client and placement records for 6 years for accounting purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Email hello@mt-associates.com and we will respond within one month.

UK and EU residents can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

US residents, including California residents, have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

We will post any changes to this notice on this page and update the date at the top.
